The Toolbox is going to be a series of articles in which we go one by one discussing the tools available in iPiccy Photo Editor and we’ll talk about the strengths, weaknesses, and appropriate times to use these tools. Last time we talked about the How To Make A Collage, but today we’re talking about Vector Masking.
Vector Masking is useful for a number of reasons. Most commonly it will be when you want to extract a particular object or piece from a picture. Whether you want the background to be transparent or just move that object elsewhere is up to you, but using this tool will allow you to make a cut out of your chosen subject.

You’re now probably wondering why you would need to be able to do this. Well, there are plenty of reasons you could feel the need to vector mask something.
One reason could be just as simple as not liking the background of a particular photo and preferring the subject in a white void. It could be the possibility that you want to combine different photos onto a new background or a transparent background. It could also come down to having some fun, and changing a pictures scenery.
Obviously there is a lot of potential fun here. So go forth and edit with your brand new tool, Vector Masking!
